Our three core areas of work are Community, Disability and Diversity, and Education.

Our community projects include strategic local touring of new plays as well as the following long-running projects:

The Old Market Gallery is an exciting arts venue in the heart of Rotherham town centre. Our aim is to provide a space where creative individuals, groups or organisations can showcase their talents.
Rotherham African Drummers is a great place to learn about rhythm, music & culture as well as meeting new people and creating performances.

Groups include beginners, intermediates and a group for adults with learning disabilities.

Rotherham Township Choir was founded in September 2015 in order to celebrate the unique diversity of its population and the rich mix of cultures that contribute to the whole.
Carnival was big news for Rotherham and the work was nationally recognised. We chose the theme of carnival as a means of bringing people together to explore their individual culture as well as a common identity .
In partnership with the EyeMusic Trust, Open Minds has brought the magnificent Colourscape experience to Rotherham each year for the last decade, touring schools and supporting events like Rotherham Carnival and the Rotherham Show.
